Account & Data Deletion Request

Instructions to delete your RoomMet account and details about what data is removed and retained.

How to Delete Your RoomMet Account

You can delete your RoomMet account directly from inside the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the RoomMet app
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Select Delete Account
  4. Confirm your deletion request

Once you confirm, your account and personal data will be permanently deleted as described below.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from RoomMet systems:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Profile details
  • Room posts and listings
  • Uploaded images
  • Saved preferences

Data Retention After Deletion

Some system-level logs and records may be retained for a short period for security, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes. These include:

  • Security logs
  • Transaction logs
  • Fraud-prevention data

Retention period for these logs is 30-90 days. These retained records are used only for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance and are never used for marketing.

Request Help or Manual Deletion

If you cannot delete your account from the app, you may request account/data deletion manually. To request manual deletion, email our support team with the required details below.

To speed up your request, please include:

  • The phone number used in the app
  • Your profile name

We aim to respond to manual deletion requests promptly and will confirm when your account and personal data have been deleted.
